Holly Hyun Choe is appointed Directrice musicale of the Orchestre national de Cannes
The Orchestre national de Cannes has appointed Holly Hyun Choe as its new Directrice musicale. The conductor will take up this position from the 2026/27 season for an initial four seasons, which she will shape alongside Directeur général Jean-Marie Blanchard.
The appointment follows two guest engagements that brought Holly Hyun Choe to Cannes in the previous seasons. The next opportunity for audiences on the Côte d'Azur to experience the young conductor will be in March 2026: in addition to Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1 (soloist: Luka Coetzee), the programme will include works by Grażyna Bacewicz and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In spring 2026, Holly Hyun Choe will then present her first season with the orchestra.
